Meet The Maker | A Bird Named Frank

How We Found Them

The founder of Zawadisha, Jen Gurecki, picked up her first A Bird Named Frank piece of jewelry In 2014 in Nairobi, Kenya. She has received so many compliments on it that we not only carry that original piece she fell in love with, but a full collection of earrings and necklaces handmade in Cape Town, South Africa.

A Bit About Them

Since its establishment in 2010, A Bird Named Frank has endeavored to design and produce high quality handmade jewelry with an eye for balance, form, finish, and wearability. Its founders, Caryn and Peter, with backgrounds in fashion and sculpture respectively, have sought to merge their skills and offer a subtle statement.

Location

A Bird Named Frank is based in the heart of Cape Town city at Hope Street Studios.

How To Care For Your ABNF Piece

Like all metals, both silver and brass develop a natural patina over time. Some people prefer this natural mat finish. However, if you prefer your jewelry bright and shiny, all products come packaged with care instructions and a special polishing cloth for maintaining both the color and shine of the metals.
